Coffeebar in Menlo Park feels like a modern community hub for those who want more than just a quick caffeine fix. Located on Chestnut Street, it offers a spacious layout with plenty of seating options both indoors and out, making it a popular stop for students, remote workers, and casual meet-ups alike. The mix of small tables, larger communal ones, and outdoor booths gives it a flexible vibe—you can settle in for a few hours of work or grab a quick snack and coffee with friends.

Their coffee lineup leans into classic café fare with some interesting twists, like the oat milk latte and ube latte, which add some variety beyond the usual espresso-based drinks. While some locals have found inconsistency in the coffee quality—especially around lattes, which occasionally come out lighter than expected or without the usual crema—the overall experience remains inviting thanks to friendly baristas and a relaxed energy that’s free of pretense. To-go orders sometimes get served in disposable cups due to supply, but if you stay, they typically offer washable reusable cups.

Beyond coffee, the bakery items are a highlight. The almond and chocolate croissants earn praise for their flakiness, and the orange cranberry muffins are a local favorite, juicy and flavorful. Snack options like avocado toast with poached egg and breakfast paninis serve well for anyone wanting more than a sweet bite. Prices tilt toward the higher side, reflecting the stylish, airy environment and the quality of ingredients, so this spot tends to attract those who don’t mind spending a bit more for a relaxed space and thoughtfully made food.

The best time to visit is on weekday mornings or early afternoons when it’s slightly less crowded, allowing you to find a comfortable seat whether you’re here to work, read, or simply enjoy a quiet cup. Weekends or late mornings can get busy, especially with locals pausing between errands or meeting friends. Expect a casual, open space with natural light and enough bustle to feel energized but not overwhelmed.

Overall, Coffeebar serves Menlo Park folks who appreciate a balance of style and substance in their coffee run, with enough seating to work or unwind and a menu that leans just enough into creative café classics without losing sight of everyday comfort.

While it's spacious and good for studying, to be honest, the coffee was worse than I expected for the price. I've never seen a $7 latte served without any latte art. The same goes for the americano. It used to have good crema, but not anymore.

The Coffee Bar is one of those rare spots that nails both style and substance. It’s a spacious, beautifully designed space that manages to feel both lively and laid-back. The baristas are genuinely kind—no pretentious vibes here—just good energy and great coffee. I had the light roast flat white, and it was everything I want in a cup: bright, smooth, and flavorful with zero bitterness. And don’t sleep on the peanut butter protein ball—it’s the kind of snack you think you’re being “healthy” for ordering, but then you end up craving it for the flavor alone. Whether you’re catching up with a friend, getting some work done, or just soaking in the scene, this place delivers. Already looking forward to coming back.

I love this Coffeebar! Their lattes are great, and pretty big. They give it to you in a reusable cup if you order it for here, which is lovely. The staff was very nice too, and it didn't take too long to get our drinks. My only complaints were that it is very expensive, and it's hard to get a seat. There's lots of seats inside and outside: booths, big tables, small tables, little chairs outside.

Big coffee shop, lots of area to sit & work or unwind. The rose lychee tea latte was bland and overpriced. The energy bite was delicious! The cookie had milk chocolate chips which I prefer dark. It also wasn't baked in the middle. They should have refrigerated the dough and adjusted their bake temperature. I'll be back but only for the energy bite and try the black tea next time. I was there today around noontime.

Their orange cranberry muffin was soo delicious. Definitely must try. Also their croissant, very flaky and tasty. But, got disappointed with latte. They said they don't have cups and served in to-go cups which is okay. But, the latte was really light and didn't have coffee aroma. Previous times I had visited, their latte used to be good - maybe depends on the day. I prefer their redwood city location for latte as they are consistently excellent. Also, getting a seat inside during the weekend is impossible. Most people work there and occupy entire table - when we visited we saw one person per table with their laptops even if it was a four seater. Maybe they could change this seating policy.

This was my first time ever going to this coffee shop. I've always seen a lot of people go into this building with a briefcase or laptop, but I honestly thought it was an office building and not a workspace/coffee shop!! Lol. I was rather shocked to see it was a coffee shop, and I liked all their seasonal winter drinks! I wanted to try the Nordic water, but the barista said sadly they got hit really hard on Sunday with a bunch of coffee lovers and they ran out of the mixture. I decided to get a regular latte with almond milk and a gluten-free blueberry muffin as well as a chocolate croissant! All three items were delicious, and I was really surprised how creamy the almond milk was on the latte!! Almond milk usually taste kind of flat to me, but this almost taste like a hemp milk or perhaps a macadamia nut milk! I was very impressed!! Not to mention the gluten-free blueberry muffin, and the giant chocolate croissant was so flaky and crunchy with the perfect amount of chocolate inside!! Inside, there were two different work areas one could go to while the register area was towards the middle of the store. I really wish I could work from home and sit in this coffee shop all day and order lunch, a salad and maybe some avocado toast with a nice glass of wine! No joke they had all of that and more!! The only thing I would keep from giving them five stars is the area in which you're supposed to wait/ stand as you're waiting for your drink. Since this was my first time here and it was a Monday around 11 AM, there seem to be a lot of people coming and going by the pick up counter. I stood off to the side, but I felt as if I was getting in everyone's way either in front or behind me. Lol the restrooms are also to the right hand side, so perhaps they were all going to and from the restroom or getting a booth?! Nevertheless, I didn't want to stand in the back of the café, where you could doctor up your drink because there's a trashcan there, but | felt I would block the walkway for people coming out of that seating area as well. Lol. I will definitely go back again, and I can't wait to try that Nordic latte!!

Great find! After a 3 hour trek to our taekwondo tournament this was a welcomed treat. The coffee was not made up of sugar and the muffin & lemon cookie were fresh and tasty. The inside was spacious with space to watch a wall sized TV.

This place wins stars for ambience. Cold brew and energy bites were great; choc croissant is a bit on the dry side, needing more flakiness. Cafe au lait is heavy on the dairy, despite using 2%
